Basic Function:

The President is responsible for leading, managing and developing the organization’s volunteers and organizational culture. S/he is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing the organization’s programs and their impact. This position is also responsible for ensuring the organization’s activities are compliant and in furtherance of the mission of the Art Guild of Naples.

Dutiesof the President

1.Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress

2.Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors, and carry out plans authorized by the board.

3.Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization’s work.

4.Preside over AGON meetings.

5.Recruit members and provide opportunities for all members to be active and involved.

6.Plan and coordinate activities for AGON meetings to provide an atmosphere that encourages membership attendance and participation.

7.Work with committee chairs on their proposed projects.

8.Leadership of the Board of Directors in the development of an organizational growth plan.

9.Promotion of membership skills and work through maintenance of the AGON website and Facebook page.
